We did a lot of fun things this summer. First of all we did a lot of swimming and we invited friends over. Second, we went to Sacramento and saw "Les Miserables" the play. Third, we went to Lake Arrowhead for a night. There we went fishing and shooting. Then after all that we went to Utah for a family reunion. We stayed there for 5 days. The drive takes forever! It takes about 11 hours. The drive to Sacramento takes 7-8 hours depending on stops.
I am going to talk a little bit more about these places.
Sacramento
Sacramento was really fun, although we only stayed 24 hours. There we saw the play, "Les Miserables". It was really good. I am reading the book now. We also went to Old Town which was really cool. There we went to a toy store and a really cool restaurant that had at least 3 stories. Also in Sacramento we went to a really good doughnut store. Sacramento is a cool place.
Lake Arrowhead
Lake Arrowhead was also fun. We went fishing there. It went very well. We were on the boat at 4:45 AM which I think helped. About 5 minutes after we put the fishing poles in, we got a fish. We got 3 fish. 1 of them I caught. We also went shooting. That was fun, too.
Utah
In Utah we did tons of things. We saw "Music and the Spoken Word", went on the alpine slide, had a family reunion, and more! The family reunion was fun, it was at a park. At that park there was a creek. We went in it. ( The water was freezing cold.) But it was fun. For those of you who don't know what an Alpine slide is I will tell you about it. You get these carts with a lever on them. (That lever controls the speed.) When you push it forward it speeds up. When you pull it, it slows down. You bring these carts on a giant slide! It was fun.
Summer went by very quickly but if I could I would do it again.
