New Chickens

Two of our chickens died, we were all very sad.  We thought they died from some kind of sickness.    But we got two new ones, we got a new buff orpington  and a new wyandotte.

                           These are our new chickens.

These are our old ones.

Our old buff orpington was the biggest when we got it, but this buff orpington is the smallest.  We were going to get a Wyandotte instead of a barred rock.  But the Wyandotte was to small.

Do you have chickens?

What kinds?

  1. I'm excited to come see your chickens some day. We don't have any, as you know, but we hope to someday. We want to have a big farm someday. You will be able to teach us how to raise chickens since we have no clue! Is it hard to hold them? It seems like they would be pretty squirmy and try to get away. They don't try to peck at you?

    1. It is realy easy to raise chickens, it is easy to hold them, but it's hard to cach them. The hardest parts is finding a good coop and getting new hay, it is hard to empty out all of the hay from your chicken run. I like finding the eggs.
